WhatsApp has announced that people can now have put to 512 people in a single group chat — assuming they can find that many people they want to talk to!
The new announcement was made via the WhatsApp blog, with the outfit also confirming that message reactions are also now live
In a new blog post on their website, the company is finally announcing their future plans about new features for WhatsApp available in the coming weeks. The first feature is about the release of message reactions to everyone, already announced by Mark Zuckerberg today (but since the company is slowly rolling out the feature, it will take up to 7 days before reaching everyone).
WhatsApp is also announcing that the company is now rolling out sharing media files up to 2GB in size, protected by end-to-end encryption: WhatsApp has previously tested the new limit in Argentina some time ago, and the company is now ready to release it to everyone. But there is something more to announce today: the ability to add up to 512 people to groups!
